Do I need to know German to study in Germany?

What is a blocked account (Sperrkonto) and is the money refundable?

A blocked account proves you can support yourself for your first year. You deposit the required amount before your visa, and it is released back to you in monthly instalments once you are in Germany. The money is yours — only the provider fees, visa fee and insurance are actual costs.

What is the difference between Ausbildung, a degree and the Opportunity Card?

A degree is university study. Ausbildung is Germany’s paid dual vocational training, where you earn while you learn a trade. No. Our office is in Kochchikade, near Negombo, and we welcome walk-in visits — but we support students from across Sri Lanka, in person and online, and on WhatsApp.
